الملخص EN

Recent research at various stages of learning has found sentence connectors and other cohesive devices to be problematic for English language learners for various reasons.

The present study aimed at finding out whether the Iraqi learners of English at college level would also face difficulty in using the proper sentence connectors in the appropriate context.

The results indicate that college students still find difficulty in ‘ and using the proper sentence connectors at sentence and discourse levels.

On the basis of the results obtained, conclusions have been drawn and suggestions for presenting the teaching them have been made.
