The research is baised on the PH.D,dissertation written by Mohamad Sukri Mohamad Saeed Mala Pir "Mesurment and analysis of the level of consumer protection in Erbil city during 2008-2009 –A case study on food and medicine commodities ".The research is divided into introduction and two paragraphs.

The first paragraph dealt with the theoretical aspects of the consumer rights and their protection, the concepts and histirical formation,and the international recognition of the nine rights of the consumer.

The second paragraph focused on the practical and empirical measurement and analysis of the observed data concerning the consumer rights in Erbil market covering food and medicaments.The overall conducted analysis covered the statistical and econometrical measurement and analysis of the observed data ,reaching by this way important conclusions and recommendations.
