الملخص EN

This study aims to analysis the state of financial technology (FinTech) funding in the Mena region pre-covi19 pandemic and after.

We are analyzed the data from several reports for the period 2015-2019 and compared it to the period 2020-H1'2021.

The study concluded that the number of deals and total funding of FinTech tripled in the period of pandemic, and the covid-19 was accelerator of fintech industry in MENA contrary to others regions, while the UAE and Saudia Arabia dominate total MENA funding into Fintech during this period, but for the north African countries, they had the weakest investments.

To keep this level of growth we suggest the coordination between the countries in the area.
