Predicting the size of shadow economy in Algeria (2016-2019)‎

This paper aims to anticipate the size of shadow economy in Algeria from 2016 to 2019.

The results of the study are based on two methodologies: first, establishing the relationship between shadow economy and economic growth over the period 1992-2015; and second checking the power of model to predict size of shadow economy from 2016 to 2019.

The findings suggest that there is a negative significant impact of shadow economy on economic growth, and the size of shadow economy is nearly 24-26 percent for the specified period
