The research discussed the nature of each of the two variables in question - novelty and complexity - and the different roles that each of them influence in the design of the industrial product.

The relationship of novelty to complexity was discussed and how products that are characterized by novelty are often complex, in addition to the fact that high novelty requires the introduction of new elements in the final composition of the industrial product, which is directly reflected on the complexity of the product.

A number of conclusions were reached regarding novelty's relations with complexity and how novelty affects complexity and complexity with novelty.
