The study aimed to depict the difficulties of writing the "Hamza ء" and the problems of drawing it in Arabic writing to find possible solutions and effective treatments so that learners and researchers can write correctly and without errors.

the study adopted the descriptive approach that is based on tracking, investigating, explaining and analyzing this phenomenon.

the main findings of the study are the following : - that the "Hamza ء" is a specific letter that accepts harakat, unlike the soft "alif ا ", which does not accept harakat, and this is a distinguishing sign between them.

the "Hamza ء" has different types, such as the interrogative" Hamza ء", the "Hamza ء" of equalization, the vocative "Hamza ء", and others that are used according to the styles and intentions of the speakers.

-due to the problems of "Hamza ء" and the difficulty of drawing it, the Arabic language academy in Cairo issued decisions on how to write it in the beginning, middle and end of the word.

- the call to facilitate the "Hamza ء"has diminished in our current era, while the general trend has depended on the stress to show the different forms of the "Hamza ء" the main recommendations of the study : the researcher recommends that learners and intellectuals should be able to master the rules and proofreading of spelling for the sake of correctness and accuracy in writing.
