Intramedullary schwannoma with multiple spinal meningiomas : case report

The authors report a case of a 36-year-old female patient with an intramedullary Schwannoma of the cervical cord with multiple spinal meningiomas without criteria of neurofibromatosis, who presented with symptoms of spinal cord compression.

After reviewing the literature, the case presented here is believed to be the first in the Jordanian population.

The treatment of choice was tumor removal.

The case described here was diagnosed by magnetic resonance imaging and histopathology.

The tumour showed all features characteristic of a Schwannoma.
