This study treats the national movement in Kenya in the period (1895—1963) when the events polarized between the British colonization and an opposing party that believed in the issues of struggle, liberty and honor.

This paper aims at studying the Kenyan national movement and the circumstances that led Britain to colonize Kenya shortly after Berlin conference in (1884-1885) that sig- naled the green light for the European colonization to rule over the nations of the third world.

The study has come to the following results: 1.

The British adopted the settling colonization system.

They were unconcerned with the Kenyan people whom they rendered suffering under poverty, humiliation, and worked as serfs in the plantations of the white like medieval corvee.

The Kenyan national movement organized itself into political parties.

It adopted the ordered and unordered armed struggle of the Maumau bloody attacks; when that came to nothing, both parties the British and the nationalists sat to negotiations as the only means to self-rule and saving blood.

Then followed the three constitutional conferences, held in London in the years (1960, 1962 and 1963).

Britain split the nationalists of Kano party that supported a united central govern- ment.

This gave birth to the Kado party that supported dividing Kenya by giving the white people good share and pittance to other members of the Kado.

Britain support- ed the Kado party.

4.

Nearly all political and public bodies joined the strife against the colonization till that was crowned by independence in 1963.
