The current research tackled with the Yemeni-Hejazi relations during the fourth and fifth centuries AH/ the tenth and eleventh centuries AD, focusing on the Yemeni pilgrimage route as an example, and the relations between Yemen and Hejaz that were included on this road, whether through the pilgrimage seasons, or through trade or journeys seeking knowledge.

The research included three axes.

The first axis dealt with the Yemeni-Hejazi relations on the religious side (the Hajj ritual) and the stages of the Yemeni pilgrimage route.

The second discussed the Yemeni- Hejazi relations on the commercial side and the role of the Yemeni pilgrim route in that side.

The third axis clarified the Yemeni-Hejazi relations on the scientific side (Individual or group journeys seeking knowledge) and the role of the Yemeni pilgrimage route in that side.

The research revealed many results.

The most important result was that the Yemeni pilgrimage route helped establish religious relations between Yemen and Hejaz during the research period through regular pilgrim stations on both sides.

Besides, it contributed in establishing many commercial relations through regular markets and the exchange of commercial goods between the two states.

Moreover, many knowledge seekers crossed the Yemeni pilgrim route of knowledge.
