The study aimed to identify the impact of transformational leadership on building core competencies in Jordanian telecommunications companies.

The study relied on the descriptive analytical approach, and the study community is a Jordanian telecommunications company represented in (Zain, Umniah, and Orange).

The unit of analysis consisted of the managers, their deputies, and the heads of the departments working in the main departments of Jordanian telecommunications companies.as their number reached (270) employees, and (270) questionnaires were distributed to them using the comprehensive survey method, (266) questionnaires were retrieved and (9) questionnaires were excluded as they were not valid for the statistical analysis.

The analyzed questionnaires reached (257) questionnaires, with rate of (95.2%).

The study reached many results.

The most important of which was a statistically significant impact of transformational leadership dimensions (empowering employees, taking risks, working as role models for employees) on building "core competencies.while transformational leadership dimensions (encouraging innovation, inspiring a shared vision) have no impact on building “core competencies.

The study recommended strengthening the practice of transformational leadership style in Jordanian telecommunications companies because of their role in building core competencies, and adopting the concept of ideal influence among the leaders working in Jordanian telecommunications companies by acting as models that workers seek to emulate.
