Facing globalization, the existence and emergence of territories are conditioned by the activation of their so-called specific territorial resources.

The valuation of these resources is the result of the involvement of territorial actors who coordinate and consult each other in order to identify them and to put them in place.

They then adopt strategies which allow the activation of the resource so that it is turned into a specific asset that can be used for territorial development purposes.

Ath ghovri’s olive oil is considered a specific resource of the region; it enjoys special attention from local actors, having adopted strategies ranging from the creation of the Ath Ghovri cooperative to its labeling.

In this perspective, we looked at the coordination process that led to consultation between local actors for the enhancement and activation of the "Tizi-Ouzou olive oil" resource, making this product a specific territorial resource able to trigger a local development dynamic in the wilaya of Tizi-Ouzou
