الملخص الإنجليزي

The foundation of the construction project for the large port of Al-Faw in southern Iraq was laid in April 2010, However, the project is still far from complete.

Because of many problems, some of them related to financial financing by the government, And another, due to external pressure from some Arab and foreign regional countries, The Faw Grand Port, upon completion, will become the main gateway to the (New Silk Road) that relates to the transportation of Chinese goods to the world.

The mission of this port is embodied in transporting goods to Europe from China to the port of Godar in Pakistan via railways, From there to the port of Al-Faw by sea, and then by rail from Basra to Syria, Turkey and Europe, this great importance indicates the geopolitical conflicts over this project in the present and the future.
