There has been a variety of writing in Arabic literature during the stages of human life.

In doing so, they reach goals greater than just a period of time or a formal phenomenon affected by the number of years in human life.

The phenomenon of graying, due to the bleaching of hair and changing the features of the human form, is much smaller than the handling of a major phenomenon that the Abbasi poet Mahmood Al-Warraq (d.

230 AH) wanted to handle, Since the good message of the poet through his poetry is a message of reform and rectification, graying was one of the most important features of leaning and the strength that he used to change an idea he considered wrong, or to warn of a future or a fate that the poet considers inevitable with bad consequences, unless a person wakes up and pays attention to the remainder of his life.

The poet's preoccupation with graying was limited to warning and exaggerating the danger of not preparing for the Day of Resurrection.

Al-Warraq's poetry was divided through the research into three directions of discourse regarding graying.

The first one is what he preaches others, playing the role of the counselor and preacher in the necessity of investing the most important stages of human life, abandoning being childish and preparing for the post-youth stage.

In the second one, he was directing his speech to himself, to the poet himself, admonishing him with what he preached to others.

And in the third one, the poet was satisfied with describing the graying as it is without addressing anyone through it.
