Congenital lumbar hernia : report of three cases

Congenital Lumbar Hernia (CLH) is a rare condition that usually present in the first six months of infant life, either isolated, or associated with other congenital malformations.

In this paper; we are reporting the conditions of three infants presented with CLH since birth.

The case histories had been presented, the important clinical and anatomical aspects, along with the current surgical management of this malformation, had been discussed.

The paper concluded the importance of a proper physical examination and supplementary investigations to exclude associated congenital anomalies in these cases.
