الملخص الإنجليزي

The classification of land roads differs from one country to another depending on the variation in the standards and foundations adopted by each country, the regulations and the importance of the roads.

For this reason, roads are classified on the basis of engineering, technical, economic (functional) and technological.

Among the most famous classifications that classified road networks are Le Corbusier, Kartribe, Japen, Lewis Cable, and McCulxi classification.

Each of these classifications classified the road network according to the spatial standards and foundations in the region.

As for our research here, we will distribute the types of road network in the district of Najaf Al-Ashraf on the basis of spatial and geometrical morphology.

The results showed a discrepancy in the distribution of road network types in Najaf district, which led to the existence of many problems in the road network.
