الملخص EN

A systematic instruction based on the content of “Paragraph Writing” was developed by the author which comprised of two parts.

Part one presented cognitive knowledge and part two focused on the interpersonal skills among students.

The content of this course was posted on Blackboard.

This study used two groups.

Group one 33 students studied this systematically designed course via Blackboard and the other group 30 students studied the content via the traditional method.

The effect of this systematic instruction via Blackboard was measured using an achievement test.

ANCOVA test was administered to investigate the effect of the systematic program on students‟ achievement.

The results revealed that the systematic multimedia instruction via Blackboard differs significantly between the two groups in cognitive knowledge and interpersonal skills for the sake of the experimental group.

The researcher recommended using Blackboard with systematic instruction for teaching all the writing courses in the English department.

It is also recommended using Blackboard tools to better enhance students‟ achievement in other courses.
