The research aims to answer the following question 1-Do the biology teachers of the fourth year of middle school have the competencies of the knowledge economy? 2-Do students in the fourth year of middle school have a motivation to achieve? 3-Is there a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the average scores of female teachers and the average scores of teachers in the knowledge economy competency scale? 4-Is there a statistically significant difference at the significance level (0.05) between the average scores of female students and the average scores of male students in the achievement motivation scale? 5-Is there a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the average scores of the students who were taught by the female teachers and the average scores of the students who were taught by the teachers in the achievement motivation scale? - - 6-Is there a correlation between the knowledge economy competencies of female and male teachers in biology and the achievement motivation of their students? The researcher adopted the descriptive research method in her research, where the research community was identified for the biology teachers who teach biology for the fourth preparatory grade in the middle schools affiliated to the General Directorates of Education in Baghdad / Rusafa 1, 2, and 3, for the academic year (2020-2021).

AD, and a sample was selected from it consisting from (65) In addition to selecting a sample of (200) students from the total community, as for the research tools, the researcher prepared a scale of knowledge economy competencies for teachers of biology, consistingof(50) paragraphs The apparent validity and reliability have been verified.

As for the second tool, the researcher prepared a measure of achievement motivation for fourth-grade students, consisting of (32) items, and the apparent validity and stability were verified.

After the experiment ended, the statistical data was processed using the appropriate statistical methods.

The results of the experiment showed that biology teachers in middle schools have competencies The knowledge economy and the ence of an effect on the gender variable, and that students in the fourth preparatory grade have a motive for achievement, as well as the ence of an effect on the gender variable, in addition to the existence of a statistically significant correlation between the cognitive economy competencies for biology teachers and the achievement motive for their students In light of the research results, the researcher recommended a set of recommendations and suggestions
