The use of photography, which will change the view of the masses on the world, illustrates a change in sensibilities with the turn into the modern era of the 20th century.

Admittedly, the Iraq war (2003-2011) opened a new era of photographic reporting in which photographers and reporters were kept away from the battles: it was now necessary to avoid at all costs the dissemination of violent views that could shock or worry the public opinion and thus discredit military actions.

But also, it should be noted that war propaganda was predominant during this period.

It is a part of psychological warfare designed to discourage and demoralize the enemy.

However, when directed at its own citizens, it aims to gain their support for war, to mobilize them for battle, and to create a negative or hostile attitude towards the opposing group.

Propaganda emphasizes segments of information that support the desired opinion and removes or completely leaves out any content contrary to its objectives.

L'usage de la photographie, qui changera la vision des masses sur le monde, illustre un changement des sensibilités avec le tournant dans l'ère moderne du XXe siècle.

Certes, la guerre d'Irak (2003-2011) ouvre une nouvelle ère du reportage photographique dans laquelle les photographes et les reporters sont tenus à distance des combats: il faut désormais éviter coûte que coûte la diffusion de vues violentes pouvant choquer ou inquiéter les opinions publiques et ainsi discréditer les actions militaires.

Mais aussi, il faut souligner que la propagande de guerre était prédominante durant cette période.

Elle fait partie de la guerre psychologique destinée à décourager et à démoraliser l'ennemi.

Cependant, lorsqu'elle s'adresse à ses propres citoyens, elle vise à obtenir leur soutien pour la guerre, à les mobiliser pour le combat et à créer une attitude négative ou hostile envers le groupe opposé.

La propagande met l'accent sur les segments d'information qui soutiennent l'opinion souhaitée et supprime ou laisse complètement de côté tout contenu contraire à ses objectifs.
