In order to stand out in a market where competition is increased, the leaders of banking companies must strive to find different means to follow the evolution of demand, therefore financial innovation is important, whose role is decisive in the creation of competitive advantage.

The objective of this paper is to verify whether Islamic banks give importance to financial innovation, using a quantitative study based on a questionnaire of a sample of executive employees chosen in the banking space.

Islamic Algerian, while relying on "SPSS" software to process the data relating to our research.

It appears from this study that there is a statistically significant role of financial innovation in the creation of competitive advantage in Islamic banks operating in Algeria.

الملخص FRE

Afin de démarquer dans un marché ou la concurrence est accrue, les dirigeants d'entreprises bancaires doivent s'efforcer de trouver différents moyens pour suivre l'évolution de la demande, donc l'innovation financière est importante, dont le rôle est déterminant dans la création de l'avantage concurrentiel.

L'objectif de ce papier est de vérifier si les banques islamiques donnent de l'importance à l'innovation financière, en faisant appel à une étude quantitative à la base de questionnaire d'un échantillon d'employés cadres choisi dans l'espace bancaire islamique algérien, tout en s'appuyant sur logiciel « SPSS » pour traiter les données ayant trait à notre recherche.

Il ressort de cette étude qu'il existe un rôle statistiquement significatif de l'innovation financière dans la création de l'avantage concurrentiel dans les banques islamiques opérant en Algérie.
