This research paper explains the role played by the Islamic banking system in financing projects that drive economic development.

Islamic banking encourages the saving process, which play a significant and important role in financing investments in different forms that correspond with the Shariah (the Islamic religion) adopted by Algerian citizen.

this study emphasizes the need for the Algerian banking system to move towards ways and modalities of Islamic finance, taking in that as a model the successful experiences that produced many Islamic banking products without compromising economic development.
