The family businesses heads are increasingly facing a major challenge, which is that of succession.
the success of this would depend not only on the predecessor willingness to withdraw from the family business, but also on the successor commitment.
through a case study of an Algerian family business, we focus in this paper on the process of building the family business successor commitment.
the results show that the successors commitment is built according to a dynamic process that changes and evolves throughout the succession process.
identification, interest, choice, challenge and competence are the five themes that mark and promote the commitment of successors.
الملخص FRE
Les chefs d'entreprises familiales font de plus en plus face à un défi de taille, qui est celui de la relève.
la réussite de celle-ci serait fonction, non seulement de la volonté du prédécesseur de se retirer de l'entreprise familiale, mais aussi de l'engagement du successeur.
a travers une étude de cas d'une entreprise familiale algérienne, nous nous intéressons dans ce papier au processus de construction de l'engagement du successeur envers l'entreprise familiale.
les résultats obtenus montrent que l'engagement des successeurs se construit selon un processus dynamique qui change et évolue tout au long du processus successoral.
l'identification, l'intérêt, le choix, le challenge et la compétence sont les cinq thèmes qui marquent et favorisent l'engagement des successeurs.
