Prospective memory in its two dimensions (subjective and environmental) is one of the important variables in the field of cognitive psychology.

It embodies the intentions that the individual intends to perform in remembering something or accomplishing it after a delay within the context of his life, and since Prospective Memory is a form of memory, which means The ability to remember to do an action at a certain moment at a later time, we often find there is a large deficit related to many everyday situations in the tasks of Prospective memory, what the individual receives from environmental and subjective cues and organizes them in the form of inputs that enable him to benefit from them in his working life and in facilitating The process of learning what he acquires and learns of information and knowledge and in the light of these data, the objectives of the current research were formulated by measuring the proactive memory of the students of Al-Qadisiyah University and identifying the significance of the differences in the prospective memory among the students of Al-Qadisiyah University according to the gender variable (males and females), the researchers applied the measures It was prepared on a sample of (400) male and female students from the faculties of the University of Al-Qadisiyah for the academic year 2020-2021/morning study.

A proportion of (100%) of the research community, and by (200) males and (200) females, and after collecting the data, they were processed using the appropriate statistical methods.

The results of the research showed that the students of Al-Qadisiyah University of both sexes enjoy prospective memory and that there are no statistically significant differences among Al-Qadisiyah University students in the prospective memory variable according to the gender variable (males and females).

The research came out with a set of recommendations that are consistent with the results of the current research.
