الملخص الإنجليزي

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of critical strategic leadership practices on strategic performance from BSC perspective of the large companies in the Chemicals and Cosmetics Industry in Amman, as well as the mediating role of strategic flexibility in this relationship.

The descriptive analytical approach was followed.

The study population consists of ( 1500 ) leaders and managers in the high and middle level management, while a proportional stratified random sample of ( 415 ) employees was used.

To achieve the objectives of the study, a designated questionnaire was tailored to be used for collecting data from the sampling units.

The study applied Structural Equations Modeling ( SEM ) using ( AMOS ) for Path Analysis and statistical analysis.

In addition, the Statistical Package for Social Sciences ( SPSSv23 ) was used for Descriptive and Inferential Statistical Measures, Multiple Linear Regression, Pearson Correlation Coefficient, Skewness, Multicollinearity, VIF and Tolerance.

The study revealed a significant impact for critical strategic leadership practices ( CSLPs ) on strategic performance from BSC perspective, significant impact for CSLPs on strategic flexibility, significant impact for the strategic flexibility on the strategic performance from BSC perspective, significant impact for CSLPs on strategic performance from BSC perspective through strategic flexibility as a mediating variable.

The study recommended maintaining and enhancing the level of application of CSLPs and increasing the awareness of using BSC as a valuable tool and worthy strategic system for measuring, evaluating and managing strategic performance, enhancing strategic flexibility.

The adoption of a unified and clear process for the exploration and exploitation of strategic leaders is also recommended.
