The objective of our article is to determine the motivations of Algerian entrepreneurs for the choice of the sector of activity.
To do this, we carried out a statistical survey of 46 SMEs created within the framework of NASDE(TheNational Agency for Support and Development of Entrepreneurship).
The use of the chi-square test of independence showed the existence of a significant relationship between the choice of the sector and the two variables: "belonging to a family of entrepreneurs" and "level of education".

L'objectif de notre article est de déterminer les motivations des entrepreneurs algériens pour le choix du secteur d'activité.
Pour ce faire, nous avons procédé par une enquête statistique auprès de 46 PME créées dans le cadre de l'ANADE (l'Agence Nationale d'Appui et de Développement de l'Entrepreneuriat).
L'utilisation du test de khi-deux d'indépendance a montré l'existence d'une relation significative entre le choix du secteur et les deux variables: « appartenir à une famille d'entrepreneurs » et « niveau d'instruction ».
