This research aims to determine the extent of the impact of strategic planning as an independent variable and includes its dimensions (message, objectives, strategic choice and strategic analysis) in achieving organizational excellence as a dependent variable and includes its dimensions (innovation, efficiency, effectiveness) in the General Directorate of Education in Diyala, the study sample included administrative levels Senior (assistant general manager, department managers), and middle management (people's managers).

A sample consisting of 45 directors and division officials was selected, but the number of returned questionnaires was (41) questionnaire.

The main and sub-hypotheses were formulated regarding the relationship and influence between strategic planning and organizational excellence.

The questionnaire was adopted as a measurement tool to collect the necessary data, and a number of Statistical methods using statistical analysis (spss) represented by (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, coefficient of variation, simple correlation coefficient, multiple regression coefficient, percentage)The study concluded that all the hypotheses of the correlation and influence between the main and sub-variables are strong and of significant significance.
