Saudi vision 2030 and building entrepreneurial university : suggested strategies for diversifying self-financing sources at Albaha University

The purpose of the current Study is to devel¬op proposed strategies for diversifying self-financing sources at Albaha University in light of the Saudi Vision 2030 as a Step to¬wards building an entrepreneurial university.

Methodology: This Study used the descriptive analytical approach.

Specifically, Del¬phi technique was used to identify the most significant Strategies from 20 participating experts who belong to several fields such as higher education leadership, entrepreneurship, and education¬al administration and planning.

Findings: The results conclude with six Strategies for diversifying self-financing sources at Al¬baha University as a Step to build an entrepreneurial university and to activate the national vision of the kingdom of Saudi Ara¬bia 2030.

These Strategies are financing based on the knowledge economy, benefit from the competitive advantage of the region, investment in paid education and training, investment of univer¬sity facilities and properties, take advantage of external financing opportunities and free investment.

Moreover, each Strategy was built on a range of proposed financing alternatives that suit the conditions of Albaha University from the Study experts’ perspec¬tive, including 26 alternatives.

In general, the experts’ estima¬tions corresponded regarding these alternatives where 24 alter¬natives were determined by a high degree of importance as sources for funding for Albaha University while two choices have attained a moderate degree of importance.
