This research is concerned with the study of demonstrative pronouns in Arabic and English languages.

Contrastive linguistics is one of the oldest approach of modern linguistic science.

It is concerned with the studying of the linguistic system in different languages, comparing them with each other, in order to highlight the similarities and differences between languages.

The recent research deals with Demonstrative pronouns in terms of classification in speech parts, and types of demonstrative pronouns in in Arabic and English.

In addition, to figure out the most commonly used demonstrative.

The function, uses and the analysis of some Quranic verses in which DPS are used, considering the translation to show the aspects of agreement and difference in between Arabic and English.
