This research, represents a historical approach to the efforts of the ancient Arabs in the field of linguistic geography and linguistic atlas, and their contributions in the studies of Arabic dialects and their characteristics and differences, and then the extent of the contribution of linguists, grammarians, philosophers and Arab geographers by enriching this science with their valuable research and writings, and an account of the efforts of modern researchers in the development of this science and their attempts to develop various Atlases of scientific interest.
