The current research aims to know (the effect of mind mapping strategy in the collection and retention of social material for fifth grade students) the number of the research sample members reached (53) students, with (25) students for the experimental group that studies according to the mind maps strategy and (28) students for the group Controller who studies according to the traditional method.

The researcher prepared an achievement test consisting of (40) items of the type of multiple test, and the researcher adopted the (T-test) test for two independent samples in statistical data processing.
