Students' attitudes towards the use of literature in language teaching

This study explores the attitudes of undergraduate students towards studying literature.

The target population is a group of fifty students of English language in Elmergib University.

Questionnaire is used as a research instrument.

Data analysis has revealed that the participants show a positive attitude towards literature; they agree that literature has beneficial role in enhancing their learning of English.

Yet ,they have reported some concerns over complexity of literature language and its uselessness for their future careers.
