New media : types, characteristics and areas of use

Information and communication technologies in their various branches have witnessed a great development in recent years, especially with regard to networking technologies, mainly represented in satellite technology, the Internet and smart phones.

As a result of this tremendous development, a group of new media of all kinds has spread remarkably, to enter into all activities and sectors of economic, social, cultural and media.

The diversity of areas of use of new media is the result of the diversity of patterns of public use of it and the goals and objectives that it wants to achieve from behind this use.

In this research paper, we will try to present a scientific presentation of the most important types of new media, their fields of use, and the advantages they provided to the audience of their users, which is the most important link in the communicative process.
