The current study aimed to assess the experience of distance education during the COVID-19 pandemic from the point of view of Saudi universities students.

The objectives of the study are, investigating the most distinguished incentives for distance education in light of Covid-19, revealing the most prominent obstacles that distance education faces during the COVID-19 pandemic, identifying suggestions and improvements for the pattern of distance education in such emergency educational conditions from the viewpoint of Saudi universities students.

Finally trying to uncover the relationship between the experience of distance education and the following variables (university - major – course level).

The researcher followed a descriptive approach ،Where the study was applied in the first semester of the year 1442 H on a sample consisting of (671) students from Saudi universities.

The data was collected by a survey questionnaire prepared by the researcher focus on three main keys (the most prominent incentives - the most prominent obstacles - suggestions and improvements).

The results of the study showed a high degree of agreement from the point of view of the study sample towards the most prominent incentives for distance education.

As well as agreement with a medium degree from the point of view of the study sample towards the most prominent challenges of distance education.

The presence of statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) or less in the attitudes of the study sample individuals about (students' motivations through the distance education experience, the challenges of the distance education experience) depending on the university variable, There are no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) or less in the trends of the study sample individuals in relation to (challenges of the distance education experience) according to the difference of the majors variable, There were statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) and less in the attitudes of the study sample individuals about (students' motivations through the distance education experience) according to the difference in the majors variable, There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) or less in the attitudes of the study sample members about (students' motivations through the distance education experience) according to the difference in the undergraduate variable ،There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) or less in the attitudes of the study sample about (students' motivations through the experience of distance education) according to the difference in course level variable, in favor of Postgraduate stage، Finally, there are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) and less in the attitudes of the study sample individuals about (the challenges of the distance education experience) according to the difference in the undergraduate variable in favor of the bachelor's stage.

In light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended a set of recommendations, including: Distance education should be dealt with a different point of view from the previous one by adopting it as a decided educational pattern even after the end of the pandemic, as well as emphasizing the approval and teaching of educational courses related to e-learning and its applications, spreading its culture and emphasizing its importance, and strive To encourage national competencies and cadres to actively participate in trying to build and adopt a local platform for university e-learning.
