The world is witnessing an accelerated development in the field of information and communication and an open electronic space > The problem of the study is that the amended Press and Publication Law No.

32 of 2012 does not rise to the level of ambition to protect press freedoms guaranteed by the constitution, which makes it limit its freedom, especially requiring news websites to register and license with Department of Publications and Publishing.

The study aims to; first: shed light on the amendments made to the Amended Press and Publication Law No.

32 of 2012 and the extent of their contribution to supporting the level of freedom of opinion and expression or not, and secondly, to show the benefit of having a modern law that regulates media work in line with international standards with the governorate.

On the Jordanian privacy, and thirdly, an indication of the extent to which websites are affected by the amendments made to the Press and Publications Law, especially with the blocking of a large number of these sites.
