The pioneers of literary critique in Algeria are distinguished, due to their abundant and significantintellectual productions.

This reflects the philosophy of Algeria, the depth of its thinking, its intellectual maturity and its profound critical approach.

A number of Algerian critics are considered to have influenced the trends in literary critique that is considered as the contribution in pushing forward the literary trends, in terms of their context and arrangements.

The aim of the topic is to introduce those pioneers in the literary and critical movement in Algeria, and to lay down the basic building blocks in this subject in order to pave way for future research.

We have reached some conclusions in this subject, which are represented in the fact that most of the work carried out by those Algerian pioneers were the manifestations of their own literary, critical, historical, cultural, social and intellectual efforts.
