The study aimed to measure the impact of personality traits on the performance of physicians in Jordanian University hospitals.

the study relied on the quantitative method to classify data through the design of the questionnaire prepared for collecting data from respondents, and analyzed using (SPSS).

the study was represented in the Jordanian university hospitals, (university hospital of Jordan, king Abdullah university hospital), the examination unit consisted of (330) male and female various specializations and administrative levels of physicians.

the study reached the most important of which is that personality traits with their dimensions (nervousness, extraversion, openness to experience, and conscientiousness) have a medium, significant, and direct impact on the performance of physicians in its dimensions (quality, extraversion, acceptance, openness to experience, and conscientiousness) in Jordanian university hospitals.

the presence of differences in personality traits due to demographic variables, expect for (gender, specialization) in Jordanian university hospitals, and there are differences in physician's performance due to demographic variables, except for (specialization) in Jordanian university hospitals.

the study recommended to pay attention to their personal traits through training on work pressures, which increases the required performance, and benefiting from the expertise of physicians with long experience towards less experienced physicians to raise their performance level.
