Challenges faced by citizen journalists and the future of citizen journalism

Citizen journalism imposed a new media reality by all standards, thanks to the public's ownership of the new media and communication, and its employment and focus of its use in a specific field represented in the production and dissemination of news stories.

But this adaptation to the media space is accompanied by a number of obstacles and impediments to the work of the citizen journalist, which we will try through this research paper to highlight in a descriptive study of this new media phenomenon by employing the scientific observation tool with a presentation of the most important scientific and cognitive trends that dealt with the subject of the study.
