The research includes a study of the plays written by the poet Abd al-Sattar al-Qarghuli at the beginning of the fifties of the twentieth century in which he singled out the juvenile category as representing the early beginnings of writing a poetic theatrical text directed to children in Iraq under the supervision and auspices of the Directorate The knowledge of the Baghdad Brigade at the time, and from here it deals with study and document the efforts of the poet in composing this type of plays for Iraqi schools during the monarchy as an important stage in the development of the history of poetic school theater in Iraq,which was calls caring for children and childhood in order to create mental responses that achieve their cognitive and aesthetic goals in educational and teaching institutions, and what strengthened these responses was the active presence of songs, singing and music accompanying the melody and poetic rhythm with its weights, rhymes and simple loving words that contribute to the mental, psychological and social distress
