The study aimed to identify the performance capabilities in the works of the artist Mustafa Zayer in playing the oud instrument, as performance is one of the basic elements in building musical works, as music is considered an abstract art, but rather the most abstract expressive art.

Through performance, the artist tries to express The feelings, ideas and images that he wants to convey to the recipient, and to show the capabilities and skills that he masters.

Therefore, the researcher prepared his research in four chapters, as the first chapter of the research included the methodological framework represented by the research justifications that are determined by answering the following question: What are the performance capabilities in the works of the artist Mustafa Zayer in playing the lute? The time limits of the research were specified in the year (2016-2021), Then the first chapter ends with the terms mentioned in the title of the research.

As for the second chapter, the theoretical framework, which included two chapters, the first topic included (the performance element), while the second topic contained (a biography of the artist Mustafa Zayer), then the third chapter included research procedures that included the research method, as the researcher adopted the descriptive approach.

The research included (9) work, as for the research sample, (3) samples were selected from the research community, while the fourth chapter included the research results, conclusions, recommendations and suggestions, and finally a list of sources.
