This research spots the light on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stance on Lebanon (the Lebanese Case) during the era of King Khalid Ibn Abdel-Aziz from 1395 to 1402 AH (19751982-).

This stance depended on the Saudi support of Islamic solidarity, Arab unity, dispute settlement of Arabian problems, and promotion of peace and stability among the Arabs.

In its stance, the Kingdom sought to counter the dangers facing the Arab Nation, i.e.

Israel.

In words and deeds, Saudi Arabia always assures the principle of non-interfering in the internal affairs of other countries and to solve all the disputes through peaceful means.

Accordingly, the Saudis organized many Arab summits and conferences, inside and outside the kingdom, in order to find a solution for the Lebanese case.

In this era, Saudi Arabia not only presented aids for the Lebanese people, it also called the USA, European governments and most world countries’ heads, to bear their responsibilities for\ Lebanon.

The kingdom made it clear that the Lebanese events may lead to a full breakdown in the Middle East area as a whole.

The Saudis sought, by all means, to stop the Israeli massacres and aggressions on the Lebanese people.Why this study is importantThis study tackles the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the government of King Khalid Ibn Abdel-Aziz, to support the Lebanese case and Lebanese people during the period abovementioned.

This role depended not only on the Kingdom faith of Islamic values and principles, but also on the principle of justice.

In the framework of Arab solidarity and unity, King Khalid played a strong role to contain the Lebanese crisis.MethodologyThis study applies the Historical Method 1∗ AH: After Hijra (Immigration) of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), i.e.

as a tool to discuss and analyze the topic of research.

This method requires collecting and well-analyzing the scientific materials and data from its original sources.Recommendations (Findings) The study reaches to following: King Khalid’s government not only mitigated the Lebanese tragedy, but gives a hand to the Lebanese people as well.

When it was decided in the Riyadh extraordinary Summit in 1976 to send Arab Deterrent Force to Lebanon, the Saudi Arabia had a great contribution to this peacekeeping mission.

King Khalid sought to contain the Lebanese crisis through negotiations and talks held with all internal and external partners.

Many summits and conferences were convened inside and outside the kingdom to achieve peace and security for Lebanon.
