الملخص EN

This conceptual study explores the supervisors’ dark triad personality as an antecedent to their abusive supervision.

The study suggests that supervisor’s dark triad would trigger burnout and counterproductive work behaviors among the employees directly or indirectly through abusive supervision.

The study further discusses the critical role of Islamic work ethics as a buffering agent that helps employees to cope with the harmful effects of abusive supervision on job outcomes.

Finally, the study concludes with important implications.
