Salt weathering of geomorphological hazards facing the urban heritage buildings in the governorate of Al Ahsa', and therefore the research aims to study factors affecting the salt weathering those buildings, and analysis of the characteristics of the building materials used and the monitoring of the manifestations of the damage resulting from the hazards of salt weathering on urban heritage buildings in the area.

The researcher used several scientific curricula, including the fundamentalist approach to the study of the factors causing the occurrence of salt weathering, inductive approach in the field work, the analytical approach in the study of the properties of construction materials and heritage buildings, in addition to quantitative method in the analysis of climatic data and laboratory based on Excel, method to convert geographical data to a group of maps and forms.

The researcher has reached several findings, the most important are; the diversity of the sources of salt in the study area, some of which are internal, such as salt is a natural component of construction materials, including an outdoor pool, such as the sources of moisture, as well as to repair the wrong way.

Urban heritage buildings in Al- Ahsa vary where weathering affected by saline, where the effects of weathering of the buildings from the water and efflorescence, the transition between the two phases has led to the collapse of the coherence between the components of the stone, and thus the appearance of cracking and desquamation.

One of the important recommendations is the need for the use of the resistant cement salts in parts of the Earth from vulnerable facilities permanently moisture and salts, and the focus on the use of moisture and heat insulation material which is not affected by the various climate conditions suitable for the different parts of the treaty.
