The study of the lives of the prophet companions is one of the main topics in Islamic history as they are the nucleus that founded the Islamic society and the pillars on which the Islamic state was established in addition to being one of the sources that transmitted religion such as prophetic tradition, jurisprudence, and doctrine to every Muslim.

On this basis, the first section of this paper talks about the personal life of Abd al-Rahman bin Rabia al-Bahili, and the second is devoted to some aspects of his family and administrative life, while the last one deals with his military efforts and conquests in the eastern Caspian Sea in the era of the Orthodox Caliphs.

The study concludes that the loss of a lot of information related to his life his courage, generosity, justice, and honesty in addition to his efforts and position in the era of the Orthodox Caliphs, and his assumption of many administrative, jurisprudential, and military positions, not to mention his interest in the scientific aspect and the invitation to the Islam.
