he study aims to inventory and analyze the intellectual production of faculty members in the Departments of Documents, Libraries and Information at Al-Azhar University in order to identify the volume of intellectual production of faculty members, and to know the authors of intellectual production in this field and who are the most productive, as well as to identify the forms of information vessels in which this production appeared.

and the languages in which it was written, while analyzing the numerical, objective and temporal trends of this scientific production, and then coming up with a number of recommendations and proposals that would contribute to the development of library and document studies in these departments.

The study relied on the bibliometric method.

In collecting data and making a bibliographical inventory, the researcher relied on a set of tools that helped in the completion of the study.

The study reached a set of results, perhaps the most important of which are: The number of items of intellectual production reached (268) works; The Department of Documents, Libraries and Information at the Faculty of Arabic Language in Menoufia came to the fore, not only in the total intellectual production, but in all forms of information vessels, then the Department of Documents, Libraries and Information at the Faculty of Human Studies in Girls in Cairo, and finally the Department of Documents, Libraries and Information at the Faculty of Arabic Language in Assiut.

The intellectual production varied in terms of form, between articles in journals and university theses in its two categories, Master's and Ph.

D.

, books or chapters thereof, and research conferences and scientific symposia.

These scientific works were produced by (55) faculty members, and most of the scientific production appeared in Arabic with a percentage of 99.3% , while one work appeared in English and another in French.

Intellectual production was presented in many topics, perhaps the most important of which are historical documents, bibliometric studies, current archives and reporting patterns.
