Barriers to the strategy of renewable energies and their role in achieving sustainable development in Libya

ABSTRACT - The issue of the use of new and alternative energy has emerged on the world stage as one of the strategic options for meeting energy needs as well as because there is a strong correlation between the success of development and what is provided as its main driver.

This strategy has been hampered by the decision-making of important and effective decisions by selecting means and relying on resources to achieve sustainable development in Libya in the absence of mechanisms for activation and exploitation of these energies despite their availability, the study took shape in the framework of research and development, awareness, motivation, funding, partnership and legal legislation, as the mechanisms of activation of this strategy are obstacles to achieving sustainable development in the light of the experiences of regional and international countries.
