It is difficult to collect the real-time process data and control the work flow of the large-complex lostfoam collaborating manufacture system using exiting methods.
To solve the issue, a new process sensing method of the support of industry 4.0 is proposed here.
Firstly, based on analyzing process features of large-complex lostfoam, a set of processing chains of the products which constrained by the manufacturing resource of the cooperating partners are established.
Secondly, the process sensing architecture supported by industry 4.0 is proposed considering RFID as the kernel tools.
It is also explored how to perceive the realistic process status of the foam slices including manufacturing progress, facility coupled with work location and processing duration period, etc.
The lostfoam production can be real time tracked in the whole collaborative manufacturing procedure resorting to the communication with RFID tag, machine tool system and manufacturing management system.
The preliminary experiment shows that our proposed approach can improve managing efficiency of the collaborative manufacturing system for the large complex lost-foam.
