The aim of the current research is to reveal the impact of the source of providing formative assessment (teacher / peers) in the environment of massive open online courses MOOCs and its impact on developing the skills of producing electronic educational project and usability among students of educational technology.

The independent source for providing formative assessment in the environment of massive open online courses (MOOCs) and has two patterns (teacher / peers), and three dependent variables: academic achievement, e-course production skills, and usability.

The research tools were the achievement test, the note card, and the usability scale.

The research sample consisted of 60 male and female students who were divided into two equal groups.

The SPSS program was used to test the research hypotheses.

The results of the research concluded: There is a positive effect of the source of providing formative assessment (teacher / peers) in the environment of massive open online courses MOOCs on the development of academic achievement, skills of producing electronic courses, and usability, but the group of source for providing formative assessment excelled the teacher in developing achievement.

The study group outperformed the peer formative assessment presentation source group, and the peer formative assessment presentation source group excelled in developing both electronic educational project production skills and usability than the peer formative assessment presentation source group.
