يعتبر مقاول الشحن و التفريغ شخص جد فعال في عملية النقل البحري حيث يعهد إليه بمهام تنذر بمسؤولية جد جسيمة في إطار العملية التي تسبق تسليم و تسلم البضاعة إلى الناقل و المرسل إليه على التوالي من خلال عقد مستقل عن عقد النقل البحري للبضائع، لكنه مقترن به و ضروري لإتمام عملية النقل برمتها.

فما هي طبيعة و أساس هذه المسؤولية ؟ .

The freight-and-unloading (stevedoring) contractor is considered to be very effective in the maritime transport process, as he is entrusted with tasks that portend a very heavy liability.
