Cognitive- behavioral therapy is a method of treatment that includes a set of therapeutic techniques that aim to bring about a positive change in the cognitive and behavioral aspect of the individual.

It is considered one of the effective psychological methods in treating mental disorders that come with chronic organic diseases (cancer as a model).

This article came to explain the most important steps that can be adopted in preparing a cognitive-behavioral therapeutic protocol plan for this category of patients, which will benefit from it in managing pain, reducing anxiety, depression, and improving mood.
