The researchers' viewpoints differ in looking at the affiliative humor, as some of them see it as one of the things that facilitate the process of social interaction and it is an integral part of the individual's interaction with those around him.

While others see it as an important strategy for the individual's compatibility and communication with others.

Also, there are those who find in it a way to relieve life pressures.

On the other hand, the mono-mental personality type represents a general factor that reduces a number of concepts such as authoritarianism, dogmatism, and aversion to ambiguity and other concepts.

Based on what was mentioned in the literature that dealt with these two variables, this research came as a scientific attempt to measure the affiliative humor and the mono-mental personality among workers in health institutions.

This research was applied to a sample of (350) male and female doctors and nurses who were chosen by an equal random method.

To achieve this, a scale was prepared to measure it according to the (2003) model (Martin et al.), which in its final form consisted of (20) items, and another for measuring the singleminded personality, which in its final form consisted of (24) items; Using appropriate statistical methods, the results of the research indicated that workers in health institutions are characterized by belonging humor, and that there is a statistically significant difference in belonging humor according to the gender variable (males and females) and in favor of males, with no such difference according to the work variable (doctor, nurse) ) And that workers in health institutions are not characterized by a single-minded personality and that there is a statistically significant difference in the uni-mental personality according to the gender variable (males and females) and in favor of males with the absence of such a difference according to the work variable (doctor, nurse), and the research concluded with some recommendations and suggestions.
