The current research aimed to know the images of popular religiosity in Islam and its reflection on psychological and social security through scientific research that used the social analytical method for patterns of popular religiosity, and analyzed the content of the texts of the Holy Qur'an and its relationship and impact on popular religiosity in simple Islamic societies as it contributes to facing social and individual problems on the one hand.

Whether it affects in one way or another the levels of psychological and social security, While the researcher relied on the comparative approach, as this approach involves studying the social phenomenon in more than one community during a specific period of time or comparing the phenomenon in the community over different periods of time.

A problem or a specific topic in the same community varies in time or place or both, while the importance of research appears through several points.

1- The objective importance that focuses on the principles and values contained in popular religiosity in Islam and its impact on the behavior of religious individuals.

2- Focusing on the moderate religious discourse to consolidate the correct Islamic religion away from the consolidation of forms of extreme popular religiosity, especially if it is characterized by exaggeration and away from the rulings revealed in the Qur'an and the honorable Sunnah of the Prophet.

3- The extent of the impact of popular religiosity with all its practices and rituals on the expansion of the circle of social acceptance of the individual as it is a cultural heritage inherited by generations throughout history and has vital implications in planting social solidarity and consolidating positive relations between individuals in order to achieve psychological and social security in society as a whole .

The research presents an explanation of the concepts of the study (religion, popular religiosity, psychological and social security) and then knowing the relationship between official religion and popular religiosity and the extent of the importance of that relationship that established sanctities in the form of life behaviors that receive social acceptance.

Islamic social problems rooted in society, including what appears in provisions and texts that appear in the forms of social solidarity or forms of zakat and the treatment of poverty cases, which is one of the most prominent problems of the present time, and it is necessary to know the relationship between popular religiosity as a behavior and the extent of its impact on psychological and social security.
